-What attracts me to this book is that it's about a guy who survived Hurricane Katrina. I've noticed a few more novels that at least mention (or are about) survivors of Hurricane Katrina, which I think is important. It will remind us to never forget. And it's nice that Franky is going to try and turn his life around, with some difficulty.

ReplyDeleteHow suspenseful! That line definitely picks my interest, in addition to the survivor context set up by the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Thanks for sharing, Ari.
Books I'm waiting for? Defintely Blessed, by Cynthia Leitich Smith. I've devoured her first two YAs. That however will be released in Jan/Feb of next year, so doesn't fit your criteria.
