I'm trying to finish a book for male Monday but that may not happen so there probably won't be a review for today. So I leave you with this image (only Amazon has the new cover up, I couldn't find it anywhere so it has the annoying white background thing, sorry!) I found this via Christina's blog at Reading Extensively. Thanks for the heads up Christina!
I can now start planning my 200 (now 253-wow!) followers contest. It will involve Magic Under Glass, Liar, a book of your choice and some swag. And maybe more? I have about $20 to my name right now so be patient with me :)
For my 75 followers contest last week, I drew names to win a cover designed by me. We all love books, but your prize so doesn't have to be monetary.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, btw, and thanks for drawing attention to all the causes you support. Nice work!
I love this cover. Haha, and now I am awaiting a potential MUG cover spam a la Mockingjay cover release announcement...
ReplyDeletecongrats on your 250+ followers!!! I'm looking forward to your contest! =D
Oh wow, I love the new cover. And congratulations on your 253 followers! :)
ReplyDelete@Jonathon-That's true, but I don't have any talents or gifts that I can giveaway (I can't draw or write and I'm not an editor to do a critique). Thank you :) I hope to see your books in stores one day!
ReplyDelete@Ah Yuan-haha yeah I saw the Mockingjay cover EVERYWHERE. it was getting a bit old since I think everyone had seen it by then. Not sure how much notice this will get though. Thanks =)
@Priya-Me too, it's very elegant, 19th century which i love. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is gorgeous! I actually want to pick this book and read it, just based on the cover now. It's beautiful, thank you for linking. :)
ReplyDeleteThis cover is SO much better in style as well as accuracy!
ReplyDeleteYou know what makes this cover so much more beautiful? To know that YOU played a part in getting it changed. :-D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your followers!
I admit I rather liked the pose in the first cover, but of course representation is much more important
ReplyDeleteI do love the royal blues, and the frills =D
What Jessica said. :)
ReplyDeleteOne word: Fierce.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on all of your followers!
Congrats on the followers, Ari. Well deserved! :)
ReplyDeleteOo, I like the new cover! She looks like she has something up her sleeve. :)
ReplyDeleteWoot! That cover is so much better! Thanks for sharing it, Ari!
ReplyDeleteI love the new cover. The model is so beautiful. Thanks for posting about this.
ReplyDeleteI really like the new cover. It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI liked the first cover of MAGIC UNDER GLASS because it was so beautiful and intriguing (back before I knew the girl in the story had an "Eastern" heritage) but this one is SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the pose and the key she's holding and the position of her eyes flickering to the left. This is a better cover, no matter what the color of the model's skin. But the model is gorgeous, too! What a beautiful girl. SO glad Bloomsbury changed it. For so many reasons.
ReplyDeleteShame they didn't do it this way in the first place, but this cover surpasses the last one on every level and I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cover. I liked the pose better in the original one, but everything else is better in the new one.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the followers! These prizes ... would they have to come directly from you? I'm a writer. I could write a short story for the winner(s) on your behalf. If you want, email me at BlogsByLizzy@gmail.com or go on my blog and we'll work something out. =)
